Letter of Condolence from the church in Vancouver

To the family members of brother Paul Wu and the church in Taipei,

It is with a sad heart that we write this letter in response to learning of our brother Paul Wu’s going to be with the Lord. We would like to express our appreciation of our brother Paul for his faithful service to the Lord and His Body in fulfilling his ministry in the Lord’s recovery.

Brother Paul Wu was a pattern to us in many ways. We can testify of his faithfulness and absoluteness in attending the seven feasts, even sometimes at the risk of his physical health and well being. We were also beneficiaries of his untiring labor and burden to propagate the ministry of our brothers Watchman Nee and Witness Lee to all the churches worldwide for the building up of the Body of Christ. Moreover, his consciousness and care for the Body in fellowshipping concerning the financial need of the Lord’s work, meeting hall purchases, and building projects throughout the Lord’s recovery expressed the broadness of our brother’s heart.

Our brother was truly poured out as a drink offering. He has fought the good fight, he has finished his course, he has kept the faith, henceforth there is laid up for him a crown of righteousness with which the Lord, the righteous Judge will recompense him in that day.  May we receive grace to follow his pattern.

May the Lord comfort his family, all the saints, and the co-workers in Taiwan.

“Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, with which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will recompense me in that day, and not only me but also all those who have loved His appearing.” – 2 Timothy 4:8
