In Memory of Brother Paul Wu

WEST SAN GABRIEL VALLEY, CA

Br. Wu is a pattern for all of us in his appreciating, confirming, being constituted by and propagating the ministry of the age. For more than two decades, we have witnessed our dear brother faithfully joining the seven feasts in the Lord’s Recovery with the brothers in Taiwan. As a result, the churches throughout the earth can go on strongly in the one accord in the same flow of the Holy Spirit.

We also experienced our brother’s intimate concern for the churches in WSGV. In 2012, while the new meeting hall of the church in Arcadia was under construction, Br. Wu ordered 600 chairs from Taiwan for us. He also personally supervised the shipping process, custom inspection and transportation. These chairs are of high quality and comfortable. We are still enjoying using these chairs to this day. This not only has been benefiting the saints of the church in Arcadia, but also the saints in the West San Gabriel Valley, even the churches in Southern California for the sake of blending, gospel preaching and trainings. For example, we use this hall to conduct the semi-annual gospel in-reaping meetings and truth forums for Southern California. The Elders’ Training for Southern California since last year also took place here. What Br. Wu did to the churches and the saints is truly a noble deed (Matt. 26:10).

Br. Wu cared very much for the Seed Training which has been carried out in the meeting hall of the church in Arcadia and came to support the training for several times. He encouraged the students and scholars from Mainland China to love the Lord, consecrate themselves to the Lord and join the Full Time Training. This left an indelible mark on the saints.

For years the churches in WSGV have practiced providing hospitality to the saints attending the Semi-Annual Trainings, especially to those from the overseas. We also hold PSRP meetings. Br. Wu strongly supported us, and always passed on the training outlines (embedded with verses) to us personally. We were deeply touched with our brother’s broad and fine character, which is a pattern for all of us.

To many of us in coordination, what impressed us most about Br. Paul is his “No Problem”. His largeness of heart (1 Kings 4:29) has been an encouragement and motivation for us brothers.

We thank the Lord for the most valuable service done by our dear brother, as well as the sweet and fragrant testimonies that he lived out. May the Lord comfort the family of our dear brother and the brothers serving together. The saints in WSGV stand with you together, pray for you together, and are willing to continue to serve the Lord whom our brother loved for his entire life, until that day!
