The Genuine Yokefellow of the Ministry of the Age—Brother Paul Wu

In the July of 1982, a promising brother left his old career to serve as the manager in Taiwan Gospel Bookroom.  This is our dearly departed Brother Paul Wu.  He gave everyone the impression of a very low-key person, who does things thoroughly, who shoulders all the burdens of every aspect of the Bookroom.  On matters of strengthening coordination in all the different departments, on the needs of all the coworkers, he diligently took care of.  Thus, a new era of the Gospel Bookroom began quietly.

Requiring Practical Coordination with the Ministry

Winter that year, due to the leading of Brother Abraham Chang, all the serving ones of the Bookroom went to Irving, Texas together to attend the Life-Study Training on 1&2 Peter and Jude in the USA.  At the time, we not only received the spiritual infusion, saw the importance of closely following the speaking of the present age, but also realized the need to have practical coordination with the ministry (2 Tim. 4:13)  Brother Wu’s picked up the burden, took the lead to dive into it with other colleagues.  Thus, the summer and winter video training started, classical spiritual literature got published continually, yearly standing order got established, laid a sturdy foundation for the rich supply of the ministry for all the churches.

In 1985, Brother Lee received the burden, returned to Taiwan, to take the lead in the God-ordained way and the forward steps for all the churches in Taiwan.  At Xitou and White Sand Bay youth activity center, he gathered with all the responsible brothers from various localities and have fellowship with the literature serving ones, mentioned the need to build the truth into the saints’ homes, that all the houses may teach the truth, study the truth; and encourage the Bookroom’s colleagues to look at the big picture, and see how great their commission is.

Steadfast in One Accord to Propagate the Ministry of the Age

After that, Brother Wu lead the serving ones to continue propagating steadfastly, until today.  In this way, we become the propagators of the divine revelation upon the foundation of the seer and the inheritor of the divine revelation.  We need to have our eyes opened, to see all the riches within the revelation of God’s word, treasure it, and continue to be attracted by it, so that we may enter into the Lord’s word more, and be constituted by His word.

Recently, I had a chance to return to Taiwan to attend the full time serving ones’ training.  After the meeting, I was shocked to found that Brother Wu, as a speaker of the training, is standing behind the book display, serving humbly, selling books to all the young trainees that passed by.  I was deeply touched.

We are All Beneficiaries of this Ministry

Once you become the propagator of the ministry, you become a propagator of the ministry for life.  Brother Paul Wu sees this lifelong ministry propagation as glorious.  Brother Wu, we also see you as a glorious example, for we are all beneficiaries of this ministry.  What mercy!  That God has given the ministry of the age to us.

God has given His recovery, two ministers of the agebefore He returns, who brought the Lords Recovery to the highest peak.  When Brother Lee was translating the Chinese version of the New Testament Recovery version Bible in 1986, he told us that the majority of Brother Nee’s messages were not published and thus cannot be circulated, this is a great loss to the Lords Recovery and all the saints.  In addition, though the modern information tech is quite advanced, yet they are still not completely reliable.  Brother Lee hoped that all the released messages would be made into books.  That at least two thousand copies can be printed for each ministry book and circulated in this world, so that those who are seeking may find, and can gain the rich supply from within.

Publishing the Collected Works of Watchman Nee and the Collected Works of Witness Lee

After the Taiwan Gospel Bookroom has printed over six thousand sets of the Collected Works of Watchman Nee, and the English version of the Collected Works of Witness Lee has printed and distributed two thousand sets.  Brother Wu took a leap of faith, through many difficult processes, printed three thousand and five hundred sets of the Chinese version of the Collected Works of Witness Lee, now all these have beenordered.  We truly treasure this!  We treasure the riches of this ministry, and treasure the practical coordination with this ministry, for the building of the organic Body of Christ.

A Fragrant Testimony of Being A Genuine Yokefellow with the Ministry of the Age throughout His Entire Life

Brother Wu rested from all his labor temporarily, being with his Beloved Lord forever; yet the testimony with its effects of being a genuine yokefellow with the ministry of the age, will be a fragrant odor, permeated in His Body until His return.

He does not disobey the glorious commission from the Lord through Brother Witness Lee.  We offer our youth to combat together to propagate the ministry.  In working overnight, in packing cargo trucks, serving diligently and attentively as a burnt offering to the Lord ‘til the end.  The departure of our brother is like a fallen star, we loath to part from one another.  Yet may the Lord’s will be done.
